Description

BRIEF OVERVIEW:


A highly flexible Powdered Detergent Agglomeration Processes plant, for the manufacture of Laundry and Dishwashing powders and powders for tablets.


PROCESS DESCRIPTION:


- Powder Infeed from 6 125CUM Bulk Silos and 4 3CUM hoppers fed from 1T Big Bags all discharging onto a Nerak Bucket Elevator via individual K-Tron Weighbelt or Loss in Weight Feeders. 


- Bucket Elevator discharges via a Gericke In line Mixer to a K-Tron Weighbelt with a Twin screw prefeeder, discharging to Ballestra Kettomix, then discharging into a 12.5 SQM Anhydro Fluid Bed Agglomerator. 


- 9 Metered Liquid additions are available at positions on Fluid Bed Agglomerator and Ballestra Kettomix.


- Discharge from the Fluid Bed Agglomerator to a Nerak Bucket elevator to vibrating Sweco sieve to the intermediate Apollo bucket elevator, where product can be routed to either the second stage of the process or to a twin 1t IBC filling station or recycled to the process infeed, 

 

- The second stage of the process adds the Minor Ingredients Powder infeed from 7 * 3CUM hoppers fed from 1T Big Bag all discharging onto a Nerak Bucket Elevator via individual K-Tron Weighbelt or Loss in Weight Feeders into a continuous Morton Plough Shear mixer along with up to 6 Enzymes fed from K-Tron Loss in Weight Feeders along with Perfume Oils and/or Encapsulated Perfume.


- Final discharge is via Sweco vibrating sieve and a K-Tron weighbelt set up as a powder flow meter.


- Fluid Bed Agglomerator has 4 sections, with individual pressure fans and heat available on the first two with cooling on the last two sections. Exhaust air is removed via twin Cyclone and Bag filter to the Main Exhaust Fan. All powder recovered from the air system is recycled to the Fluid Bed Infeed.


- Liquid system consisting of 9 Flow & Return lines, with Micromotion Coriolis Meters fitted and invertor controlled pumps.


- The whole plant is designed to minimize dust by recovering dust at source on each feed hopper.
